Privacy notice

NAS Photo Backup is a personal app operated by its account owner. It uses Google Drive authorization to create and manage its own backup files and folders. It does not request access to unrelated Drive files.

Data and purpose

The app reads photo files and their metadata from the owner's NAS and uploads them to the owner's Google Drive for backup. It reads the backup files' metadata to compare copies and manage history. Authorization credentials are stored privately on the owner's computer and Kubernetes cluster.

Storage and retention

Current copies stay in Drive while the files remain on the NAS. Replaced or deleted files are kept in a separate history for 21 days before permanent removal. The NAS is the source of truth: editing or deleting a current Drive copy may be undone by the next backup.

Sharing and control

The app does not sell data, use it for advertising, or share it automatically. The owner controls folder sharing in Google Drive. Google stores the uploaded files under the owner's Google account.

The owner can stop the backup and revoke its access in Google Account settings. Revoking access does not delete existing copies; the owner can remove those in Drive. Questions can be directed to the support email shown on the app's Google consent screen.
